Looks like Xiaomi have advanced their global timeline to launch a completely redesigned version of their proprietary Android skin – MIUI 12. Using a very cheeky puzzle on Twitter, fans of this wildly popular skin were made to decipher the date for its global launch. Some common sense and some intense math noises later we have a date – May 19th.
MIUI 12 builds are being worked on for almost all of Xiaomi’s recent smartphones with devices like the Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 10, and K30 Pro getting top priority.
MIUI 12 will be Xiaomi’s first complete UI redesign in over 3 years which includes changes to the notification shade, lock-screen, task-switcher tray, and gesture navigation. This new iteration will also offer improvements to dark mode!
