Mi Smart Band 6 Inbound — Expect it on March 29

Mi Smart Bands have always been on the cards for Xiaomi. Mi Smart Band 6 is what is going to succeed the Smart Band 5 that was launched last year in July. Let’s see what the Smart Band 6 can offer us.

So Mi Smart Band 6 is yet another band…

The Mi Smart Band 6 has been teased and a release date of March 29 has been set on Xiaomi’s Twitter handle. Teasers have also shown the Mi Smart Band 6 in different colour options.

The Mi Smart Band 6 will go on sale in China first. It is likely that Xiaomi India might be launching it here as well. As far as the leaks go, the Mi Smart Band 6 might feature an NFC chip onboard expanding its connectivity capabilities. Earlier leaks also suggested that the Mi Smart Band 6 will benefit from in-built GPS, SpO₂ sensor and 19 different exercise modes.

Another useful feature that might be restricted to Chinese market is the ability to control smart home devices with built in functions.

Mi Smart Band 5 is currently available on sale for Rs. 2,499. It gets a 1.1″ dynamic AMOLED display, 50-meter water resistance, 11 Sports Modes, women’s health tracking mode, 24-hour heart rate monitor and 2 week-long battery life.
