[UPDATE: Mafia: Definitive Edition will be releasing August 28, 2020. More details, screenshots at bottom.]

The official Twitter account of the Mafia series had been teasing a new announcement since a couple of days. After a lot of leaks and rumors, it’s finally official. The Mafia trilogy is getting remastered for current-gen platforms.

The teaser shows three different scenes from each of the game, all emphasising the theme of family constant through the open-world crime series.

The Trilogy will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC (on Steam as well as Epic Games Store). Although the third game didn’t do too well, with Mixed ratings on Steam. While Mafia II is an absolute masterpiece in my honest opinion. It nails the feels of being in the streets of 1950’s New York. The environments are beautifully designed brimming with details, the gameplay feels just perfect. That combined with a personal and a well-crafted storyline following Vito Scaletta, an army veteran who falls into depths of crime due to conditions.

We’ll be getting more information on the Mafia Trilogy on the announcement set for May 19. We’ll keep you updated.
