According to the listings from two European retailers, we can expect new dual-core Intel Pentium processors in the near future. The retailers had listed multiple new CPUs expected to be based on 14nm++ manufacturing process.

These new processors from Intel are expected to compete against AMD’s Athlon series of CPUs. These new chips deliver quite impressive single core IPC.

The top of the line model in the Intel Pentium series will be the dual core, four thread Gold G5620 processor with a clock speed of 4 GHz and a TDP of 65W.

The other processors that were listed by the European retailers were:

    • G5420 with two cores, four threads and a clock speed of 3.8 GHz,
    • G5600T with two cores, four threads and a clock speed of 3.3 GHz,
    • G5420T with two cores, four threads and a clock speed of 3.2 GHz,
    • Celeron G4950 with two cores, two threads and a clock speed of 3.3 GHz
    • Celeron G4930 with two cores, two threads and a clock speed of 3.2 GHz
    • Celeron G4930T with two cores, two threads and a clock speed of 3.0 GHz

There is still no information about the architecture of these chips or the cache of iGPU on them. It was reported earlier that Intel is facing issues with its 14nm++ manufacturing process, and a shortage of processors of this type.

    1. Can’t say if that’s true cause Intel doesn’t even have that high clock speeds for i3 8th gen processors. Can’t imagine them making 4ghz Pentium chips just to compete with amd’s Athlon 200g

    2. I am replying to user, who said are u sure it is Athlon.yes my friend it is Athlon with new architecture and if iam write it has zen cores.
