Intel seems to be prepping up to launch its upcoming 11th Gen Core CPUs (dubbed Rocket Lake-S) in March. The information comes to us courtesy of HKEPC, who claim that the new processors will be available to buy starting March 15. This lines up with our previous reports.

The new CPU lineup was first teased during this year’s CES, which are claimed to feature a 19% IPC improvement. The 11th gen CPUs are set to sell alongside the existing 10th gen chips. This makes sense since Rocket Lake will only offer CPUs with up to 8 cores/16 threads, as Intel had previously revealed.

When Intel revealed information regarding the 11th gen lineup (strategically before AMD’s Ryzen 5000 reveal), we got to know that it will be a backport to 14nm process. However, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing new to be gained, as Intel also revealed that the processors will come with a PCIe 4.0 & a new scalable Xe graphics architecture.

Rocket Lake-S is looking to be quite impressive as previous leaks have shown insanely high clock speeds, as high as 5.6 GHz. The company is yet to officially announce when the 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs will launch, but with Alder Lake’s reveal coming soon, it’s bound to happen in March. You can already buy the new 500-series motherboards which support 11th gen Intel CPUs.
