The complete specifications of the Intel Tiger Lake-H have been leaked, which show that the processors will have a feature 10nm SuperFIn architecture and Willow Cove compute cores. It will also feature support for up to 5.0 GHz turbo with Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0.

The leak comes to us courtesy of HD Technologia who shared the slides ahead of Intel’s official announcement.

The slides also mention that Intel is lifting the wraps off Core i9-11980HK -a fully unlocked, flagship SKU processor. This chip will have a maxed out clocking speed of 5.0 GHz over two cores. However, HK unlocked processors like the i9-i9-11980HK are expensive and consequently, is not expected to launch in a slim form factor.

Intel will also be introducing PCI Express Gen 4 — something which will give it an edge over the rival AMD Cezanne-H. With up to 20 PCIe Gen 4 and up to 44 PCIe platform lanes, the report says that the equipped laptops will have sufficient I/O capabilities for the top-end discrete GPUs, which although are not mentioned, will most likely be either the GeForce RTX 30 series or AMD Radeon RX 6000M.

The chip manufacturer has also compared its 6-core i5-11400H processor with the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS in seven games. The Intel chip was tested in a native sample system coupled with RTX 3060 Max-Q, whereas the Ryzen was tested in Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 – which has the same GPU but has a larger 80W TDP consumption. Notwithstanding, the Intel i5 was the better chip in four tested games, according to the presentation slides.

The Tiger Lake-H system will be launched in new notebook segments, namely – essential, thin enthusiast, and halo enthusiast. The slide mentions that the Tiger Lake-H will support up to either a 1080p, 240 Hz display or a 4K display with 120 Hz.
