Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has announced that it is going to launch its Honor 9X smartphone in India on 14th January 2020. The company has already started marketing the Honor 9X launch event by circulating the invites for the event.
The “SAVE THE DATE” invite banner shows the letter “X” in the background and the launching date. However, we didn’t find any details regarding which Honor 9X variant is the company going to bring to the Indian market. Is it going to be China’s Honor 9X or the global variant, Honor 9X Pro?
Honor 9X Expected Specifications
Honor 9X was announced in China last year and the specifications are expected to be the same for the Indian variant. The phone features a 6.59 Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. It runs EMUI 9.1.1 based on Android Pie. The smartphone is powered by HiSillicon Kirin 810 SoC along with up to 6GB of RAM.
In the camera department, there is a dual-camera setup on the rear including a 48 MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary depth sensor. On the front, you will find a 16MP selfie camera. The biometrics will be taken care of by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with face unlock.
The phone will be powered by a 4000mAh battery. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, GPS/A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Talking about the price, the phone was launched at a price of CNY 1,399 in the Chinese market, which is roughly equal to Rs. 14,400 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. The price of the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is CNY 1,599 (Rs 16,500) and the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant cost CNY 1,899 (Rs 19,600).
