Google today announced the Google Play Pass India. It’s a subscription service like Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass that offers users access to over 1000 apps and games on Google Play Store.
The Google Play Pass costs Rs 99 per month or 899 per month and can be shared with up to 5 family members. Users subscribing to the subscription service get a free subscription for the first month. Meanwhile, users can also purchase Google Play Pass for Rs 109 on a prepaid basis.

“We want to deliver products and programmes that the Play community – both users and developers – find value in, and we are always looking for new ways to do this. With the launch of Play Pass in India, we are excited to offer a robust collection of unlocked titles to our users and looking forward to partnering with more local developers to build amazing experiences users love,” said Aditya Swamy, Play Partnerships Director, Google India.
Google Play Pass gives users access to over 1000 apps on the Play Store spanning across 80 categories. Once subscribed to the Google Play Pass, users can download any app or game bundled with the subscription. Users won’t be bothered with any ads or in-app purchases while subscribed to the service.
