One striking difference between this card and other GALAX cards is the backplate design. The backplate is bent from the middle along with metallic nature and hollow design, contrasting other cards with a flat rear panel. The top of the card is branded with the text “What’s your game”, located under irregular acrylic design. On the I/O side of things, it holds 1x DVI-D, 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort. The card runs on a single 8 pin power supply. To give an idea about the thickness, it acquires about 2 cabinet slots for operation. The fans have a plastic design with a diameter of 9 cm.

The GALAX RTX 2070 has a base clock of 1410 MHz and a boost clock of 1620 MHz coupled with 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

The benchmark performance on the GALAX RTX 2070 is about 5-10% lower as compared to its Founders Edition counterpart. This can be blamed on its lower (1620 MHz) boost clock compared to RTX 2070 Founders Edition (1710 MHz).

    Game Performance

The card was tested on various games with 1920×1080 and 2560×1440 resolution. The games were set to default max quality. Using the game’s own performance test output, here are the results below:

GALAX is not advertising this product as pro-performance but for its appearance and the card delivers in that area. To summarize GALAX places this card between the GAMER series and Hall of Fame series. The card manages to run all the games tested here, at the highest settings on 1440p 60FPS+. This card is meant for enthusiasts who like to flaunt their cards and showcase their rigs.
