The design for Apple’s iPhone 12 along with the renders of the long-awaited iPhone SE 2 have been leaked online. The reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) teamed up with iGeeksblog to reveal what may well be Apple’s biggest selling phone of the year; the iPhone SE2 or the dubbed iPhone 9.
iPhone 12 Design Leaked Images:
The leaked iPhone 12 designs reveal the next-gen iPhone to have a fairly refreshing look. Apple is expected to introduce a new 90/120Hz bezel-less display to keep up with the competition. Moreover, Apple will also adopt Samsung’s Y-OCTA display technology for slimmer panels. Similar to the iPhone 11 range, the company is set to offer different display sizes through different iPhone 12 models.
The American tech giant is going to launch its latest A14 SoC based on 5nm fabrication process to power the new iPhones. Furthermore, the iPhone 12 series will probably have 6Gb of RAM. This will ensure the best in class performance as well as efficient power management. More certain is the arrival of 5G. Apple will introduce 5G across the entire iPhone 12 series. It will deliver support for both mmWave and sub-6GHz bands.
iPhone SE 2 Leaks:
Rumours claim the long-awaited iPhone SE 2 to be called iPhone 9. This is because of the fact that the leaked renders suggest the same to have a 4year old design similar to the iPhones 6,7 and 8.
That means the same 4.7-inch display surrounded by the thick top and bottom bezels and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor (which is expected to make a more ambitious return on the iPhone 12), as well as a single rear camera. In fact, where the iPhone SE2 does differentiate is it’s actually slightly bigger and thicker than the last iPhone to sport this form factor.
A thicker chassis is set to pack in a larger battery. The back will be frosted glass to support wireless charging. While the primary camera is expected to match the primary lens of the iPhone 11.
The iPhone 9 is expected to be powered by the A13 Bionic SoC along with 3Gb of RAM. Consequently, it is going to be a fully power-packed smartphone.
The iPhone 9 will enter its production phase soon and could be released in March along with two new iPad models. Rumours hint the iPhone 9 /SE 2 to be priced around $399(Rs.28,534.49).
