But a conversation with our source has brought to light that the rumour of the Mi 11 Lite 4G being discontinued is merely a rumour. The device is still up on the website and is not being discontinued so soon. The possibilities of a 5G variant has not been ruled out, however. A 5G model with a more powerful SD 780G can be launched in the future but will probably sell alongside the existing portfolio.

Our take on the Mi 11 Lite: “Among the crowd of big and beefy smartphones, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite comes as a breeze of fresh air with a minimalistic yet fulfilling approach. It does trim down on the weight and thickness, but most importantly, it gets the basics right.”

The Mi 11 Lite comes with a Snapdragon 732G processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 10 bit 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED Display refreshes at 90Hz and supports HDR10. It packs in a 4250mAh battery and charges at 33W. It also houses a triple camera setup and dual speaker system. All this in a 6.8mm and 157g package.
