Nintendo and Cygames just announced that they are working on a new RPG for mobiles, called Dragalia Lost. Cygames is known for making games like Rage of Bahamut, Granblue Fantasy, and Shadowverse.
As per sources “for the purpose of facilitating the partnership, Nintendo will obtain approximately 5 percent of Cygames’s issued stocks mainly through a third party allocation of its treasury stock.” Earlier Nintendo CEO Shuntaro Furukawa showed an interest to expand into the smartphone sector, given the scope and ripe future. Furukawa added that, in general, the company “should focus on things that only we can provide.”
As per Nintendo, Dragalia Lost will be an “all-new original action RPG”. Nintendo and Cygames have been working simultaneously on this new mobile title and will co-operate on managing it as well down the line.
Dragalia Lost is slated for release this summer, first in Asia, followed by North America and Europe. As of now, a description and an artwork are the only available details we have on Dragalia Lost. Stay tuned for more on this story!
