Director Teases Changes in Zack Snyder’s Justice League

Zack Snyder’s Justice League, or the Snyder Cut, is something that fans across the globe wanted and hoped for, but had very slim chances of becoming a reality. Fans tirelessly campaigned for #ReleasetheSnyderCut for two years after Joss Whedon’s Justice League came out. That one was a doozy at the box office, making around $657.9 million, with generally unfavourable reviews.

However, it was still a slim chance, because what the fans thought was a complete film in itself which never saw the light of day, was actually just some footage. There was absolutely no post-production work done and no visual effects – it was essentially semi-finished at best. So, it required Warner Brothers to do some major work, which required major money to be spent.

But, with streaming services now a reality, and with the release of HBO Max, fans now have what they have been seeking for so long – Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Although not much is known about the project yet, but the Snyder and Warner Bros. have said that the movie will release on HBO Max in 2021.

As I said, it is still unclear the path that the Zack Snyder’s Justice League will take. The original version of the movie was almost supposed to be 4 hours long. The studio is yet to determine whether they will release it as a 4-hour long movie, or split it into 6 chapters. However, it is certain that Snyder is reassembling the original postproduction crew to score, cut and add new and finish old visual effects. They might even bring in the original actors to record additional dialogue.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Snyder had said, “It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie. You probably saw one-fourth of what I did.” He has admitted that he is yet to see Whedon’s version of Justice League.

The director has, all these years, been teasing fans with original pictures and making cryptic notes when it comes to Justice League. And he has revealed one tiny detail of Zack Snyder’s Justice League – a change in colour. It might not be a lot, but it is definitely enough to keep fans guessing.

In the original Justice League, the colour of the sky was changed from blue to red in the third act, at some point. In response to a question on Vero, Snyder has confirmed that he will change the colour grading of that sequence.

Snyder is yet to say whether the colour will go back to blue or there will be a third colour. But it is for certain that it won’t be red. Which is great because that colour was an eye-sore after a while.

With fans’ expectations sky-rocketing with the director leaving these cryptic hints, let’s hope that the end result turns out great. Otherwise, we are all in for a nasty heartbreak.
