DC Universe Is Going Free for Batman’s 80th Birthday

DC Universe, the streaming service dedicated to DC exclusive content, is going free for all in honor of The Dark Knight’s birthday. On Saturday, March 30th – Batman’s Birthday, popular films, TV series and comics featuring the Dark Knight will be available for free on DC UNIVERSE.

For one whole day, the service will be available to anyone who resides within the US, as the service is only available there.

DC announced the following about this exclusive deal:

“Happy birthday, Batman! In honor of the Dark Knight, DC UNIVERSE will open its digital doors on March 30th for all Batman fans, members or not. For 24 hours fans can view comics, live action and animated films and TV series highlighting the hero. Plus a special promotion, the first month of DC UNIVERSE for $0.80.”

The celebration begins at Midnight EST, Saturday, March 30th – exactly 80 years to the day Batman first stepped out of the shadows of Gotham City in DETECTIVE COMICS #27 – and will run 24 hours, until 11:59 PM EST.
