Days Gone PC Version Port From PS4

With the release of Days Gone just around the corner, IGN has shared the first gameplay footage of the port running at a flawless 60 FPS. That would have been a first for the game since its release on PS4, had it not been for a recent PS5 update that unlocked its frame rate on the console. Regardless, the PC version is bound to provide much better scalability in visuals.

[Update: GameSpot has released the first 20 minutes of the game at 4K 60 FPS, also running on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.]

Check out the Days Gone PC gameplay below, captured on a system with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and Intel Core i7-8700k:

The gameplay capture is from the first 15 minutes of the game, discounting the prologue flashback. It’s no surprise to see the game running well at 1440p since the RTX 2080 Ti really was built for 4K gaming. Days Gone on PS5 also targets 60 FPS, although that’s at a dynamic resolution maxing out at 4K.

We previously saw the game’s unlocked frame rate in action with a new trailer, but of course, we’ll have to wait to get the game on our hands to really push it to its limits.

Days Gone PC Port System Requirements

Days Gone on PC requires pretty much the same hardware as Horizon Zero Dawn’s PC port did. This makes sense seeing as how both games were developed exclusively for the PS4. If all things go well, we might even get an optimized port, as Horizon’s PC debut had its fair share of problems that were only recently fixed.
