CD Projekt RED has updated the list of PC system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077, now including configurations for playing the game with ray tracing and DLSS turned on.

CDPR had previously released minimum system requirements to play the game, but that earlier list did not take ray tracing into consideration. Now that the Polish developer has gone through multiple game delays, it looks like more optimization has taken place behind the scenes. Here’s a table for reference:

    Cyberpunk 2077 PC System Requirements

To play Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing turned on at 1080p, you’ll need an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. This makes sense because, well, it’s the cheapest graphics card on the market that has hardware raytracing support. If you don’t care about ray tracing, well then you’re in luck. According to CDPR’s system requirements list, even a 4-year old GTX 1060 will get the job done.

What About AMD Radeon RX 6000 Cards For Ray Tracing?

Curiously though, we didn’t see much mention of the newly released AMD Radeon RX 6000 series. Considering how AMD’s latest graphics cards built on the new RDNA 2 architecture also support ray tracing, it’s omission here looks quite odd, especially under Ray Tracing presets. As per officially released information, a GeForce RTX 3080 should be enough to get the best experience at 4K with ray tracing, and presumably, DLSS turned on.

AMD’s graphics cards currently don’t have a DLSS-like feature, but it is coming in the near future. It looks like the Radeon RX 6800 XT should play the game just fine at 4K with ray tracing, if so at a lower framerate. CDPR only mentioned one RDNA 2 card – the Radeon RX 6800 XT, but only at 4K Ultra settings without ray tracing.

Cyberpunk 2077 will, if we’re lucky, release on December 10th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. It’s also releasing on Google Stadia, if you’re still interested in that.
