June certainly won’t feel the same without E3 this year. The excitement of companies revealing all their upcoming titles and new content, at a huge venue with thousands of gamers; we’ll all miss that for sure. But worry not, as we’re having alternative digital conferences for that. IGN’s upcoming ‘Summer of Gaming‘ event is one of those, and CDPR is bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to the show in June.

Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games right now. But it’s been quite a while since we last heard something new about the game, apart from occasional new details about the several gangs of Night City on their Twitter handle. In their financial report, CDPR talked about commencing the promotional campaign for the game from June. This event might bring us something new to look forward to. Personally, I hope for a new trailer or another insight like the Deep Dive video.

“With the next generation of console gaming kicking off later this year and gamers eager to learn more about what games they’ll be playing on their new hardware, our online event will be a key moment for publishers and developers to connect with the audience worldwide,”

Peer Schneider, Chief Content and Product Officer at IGN

The digital show will include a number of partners and publishers such as 2K, Square Enix, SEGA, Bandai Namco, Amazon, Google Stadia, Twitter, Devolver Digital, THQ Nordic, and more. For more details about the Summer of Gaming event, check out their blog post.

Also, if you’ve been hunting for more gameplay, like me, don’t miss out on this extra footage someone over at Reddit compiled from an old Q&A video:

CDPR has been partnering with brands to release limited-edition products ranging from headsets from SteelSeries and hard drives from Seagate, to extremely rare RTX 2080 Tis and an Xbox One X with a rugged controller which is unlike any controller Microsoft has launched so far.

Cyberpunk was originally supposed to be released this April 16, until it got delayed to September 17. This would’ve been such a great time to be cruising through the neon-filled streets of Night City. But I think most of us would rather prefer a more polished version in September than a rushed and buggy release right now.
