Well, it seems like the cat is out of the bag! We reported a couple of days ago that a new Crysis game was being teased, with it possibly being either Crysis 4 or a remaster. Now, the game franchise’s own website has accidentally leaked that Crysis: Remastered is indeed real, and will also be coming to Nintendo Switch (along with other platforms).

The leak was first spotted by @RobotBrush on Twitter, noting that the game will come to PC, PS4 and Xbox One:

This will mark the franchise’s debut on Nintendo’s portable platform. Before this, back in 2007 Crysis debuted as a PC exclusive game due to its future-proof graphics capabilities. “But can it run Crysis?” soon became the big question when it came to testing high-end PC hardware. Just recently we saw the game getting fan-developed raytraced graphics for NVIDIA’s RTX cards. With Crysis: Remastered the game will now officially support NVIDIA’s attracting technology, as well as AMD’s DXR implementation when that drops. How? Well, seeing as Cryengine already supports Raytracing with DirectX 12 (and Vulkan), the new remaster could potentially be the prettiest game we’ve seen in the past few years. Who knows, maybe we’ll get a PS5/Xbox Series X port also considering both of those next-gen consoles have dedicated hardware for raytracing.

From the makers of Far Cry, Hunt: Showdown and CRYENGINE, Crysis offers first person shooter fans the best-looking, evolved, and innovative gameplay, enabling players to adapt in real time to survive. Crysis Remastered brings new graphic features, high-quality textures, and the CRYENGINE’s native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and – for the very first time – Nintendo Switch.”
