If you’re going for a Ryzen 5 3600X or the Ryzen 7 3700X, then I’d suggest going with an expensive B450 board. An X570 board is all good for a 3700X but I’s suggest sticking with the B450 for the 3600X. You get support for speedy memory (4GHz+), more than enough storage options, CrossFire-X support as well as USB 3.2 Gen2 ports. There’s no point in going with an X470 or X570 board as PCIe 4 is still in its infancy stages and overclocking is largely limited to the higher-end Matisse chips.

The Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero along with the ASRock X570 Taichi are the best high-end X570 motherboards on the market. If you don’t have any budget constraints and have bought a Ryzen 7 or 9, then this is the board to go for!

I would suggest get add few extra and upgrade to 9the gen i3. Processor wize you will not see much improvement, but performance wise there is a huge leap. If your existing motherboard has shown some fault, remember that it must have passed some to the processor.(personal experience) It will not be worth the replacement.
If you are on tight budget, get any H61 Motherboard. It will suffice.
