If you’re in the market for a 1440p gaming monitor, then you’ve come to the right place. Gamers into eSports and the Battle Royale genre ought to opt for a 120 or 144Hz screen while for the rest, a 60 Hz monitor will do just fine. Choosing between different displays can be quite confusing, as the only way to really decide is to look at it in person, which is something I would recommend doing if you have a store with a large variety of monitors near you. For those of you without that option, we have compiled a list of three monitors for different needs.

Best 1440p Gaming Monitor: LG Ultragear 32GK650

    Specifications:

    • Size: 32-inch VA
    • Aspect Ratio: 16:9
    • Response rate: 1MS
    • Refresh rate: 144Hz
    • Brightness: 350 nits
    • AMD Radeon FreeSync technology
    • Price: Rs. 29,999

LG has a range of unbeatable displays. The Ultragear is a gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and an impressive response time of 1 ms, as well as support for FreeSync and a bunch of other exclusive features that come in handy in fast-paced shooters. Not only does it have a great set of features, but it is also priced very reasonably at about just 30,000 rupees on Amazon which goes under 25,000 rupees on sales. It’s a VA panel, meaning it comes with the viewing angles of IPS displays and the response times of TN panels.

Best Monitor for Photo Editing: BenQ PD2700Q

    Specifications:

    • Size: 27-inch IPS
    • Aspect Ratio: 16:9
    • Response rate: 4MS
    • Refresh rate: 60Hz
    • Brightness: 350 nits
    • Price: Rs. 29,990

The PD2700Q by BenQ is a beautiful display that covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut that is hardware calibrated by the company. It is also extremely affordable, coming in at around 30K rupees on Amazon. It features a bunch of extra gimmicky features but in my opinion, those aren’t very useful, and just the gorgeous display is enough to sell it. All in all, it is a great buy for aspiring photographers and editors on a budget.

Best Ultrawide Gaming Monitor: LG 34UC98-W

    LG Monitors 34UC98-W 1

    LG 34UC98-W Specifications:

    • Size: 34-inch IPS
    • Aspect Ratio: 21:9 (3440×1440)
    • Response rate: 5MS
    • Refresh rate: 60Hz
    • Brightness: 300 nits
    • Price: Rs. 73,499

The 34UC98-W by LG is an expensive monitor, but it is worth every penny with the number of features it has, and how few the cons are. Not only is it calibrated to have accurate color reproduction out of the box, but it also has FreeSync for gamers. The curvature (1900R) on the screen is great for immersive gameplay and so you don’t have to strain your neck or eyes while looking at the humongous screen. It doesn’t have the best contrast or input lag though, but I feel like those aren’t features that matter to the person looking to buy such a product, and am thus willing to overlook them.
