The first DLC expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Wrath of The Druids, releases next month on April 29. Along with the new update’s release date, Ubisoft has also shared details about the new Ostara Festival event currently going on in the game.

The update marks the first content expansion in Valhalla’s season 2. Yep, you read that right. “Season 2” of a single-player game. We live in crazy times, but you can’t fault Ubisoft for chasing the live service pie after Valhalla’s massive debut, breaking all-time records from the past.

The Ostara festival will bring the much-awaited transmogrification feature, however, you need to use in-game currency to change your appearance, unlike Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the previous instalment.

While the Ostara festival will be bringing some nice side-activities for players, it’s next month’s expansion that has us more excited. Wrath of The Druids will be taking Eivor to Ireland, an exciting new location for the franchise. The expansion should also expand and continue the modern-day story where Basim takes control of the Animus, and in turn, Eivor.

That’s not all though, with another expansion in The Siege of Paris releasing later in spring.

If you haven’t checked out the game yet, you can read our review of the game where we were extremely impressed with how Ubisoft managed to balance the RPG elements with a more lore-friendly narrative. Here’s our verdict on the game:

“Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is one of the best games in the series, striking the perfect balance between the franchise’s newfound RPG gameplay and a focused narrative that pays respects to its predecessors in meaningful ways.”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is out now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X and PC (Uplay and Epic Games Store).
