The gameplay was shown off today during Ubisoft’s E3 conference:
These past couple of years, Ubisoft seems to have been paying attention to what gamers like. The latest entry in the Assassins’ Creed franchise looks like a mix of TW3, Ubi’s own signature titles, namely Far Cry and of course AC itself, with a more mature protagonist equipped with a shield, bow-n-arrows and some spanking new toys. The camera used for tagging images in Far Cry returns in the form of an eagle. The map will supposedly be as big as Syndicate, if not bigger, and in addition to all the sand and pyramids, will be populated by beautiful architectural wonders of the Egyptian civilization. When it comes to mounts, the player can ride horses like good ol’ Grealt, but if you feel like that’s bad for immersion, you’ve got camels as well. The combat feels really different and hopefully will deliver.
