Apple’s First ARM-Powered Mac Set to Launch in November

During Apple’s first online WWDC back in June, the Cupertino giant confirmed the much-speculated transition to its own ARM-based Apple Silicon for its Mac lineup from Intel. Apple also hinted that the ARM-powered Macs are under development and we might see a one by the end of this year.

Now, prominent tipster Jon Prosser claims that Apple might announce the first Apple Silicon powered Mac as soon as next month. He says that the Cupertino giant is expected to hold an event for ARM Macs on November 17 and the event might be announced a week before that, on November 10.

Last week Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, announced that Apple is preparing for a November event where it will be announcing the first Apple Silicon powered Mac. He also confirms that the upcoming ARM-based Mac will be a notebook but he didn’t say which one. The main conflict is that which Macbook is it going to be because several rumors have hinted that Apple is working on a new Macbook 12 inch powered by Apple Silicon while others hint towards a 13-inch Macbook Air but popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that that first ARM Mac would be a 13-inch MacBook Pro.

ARM powered Apple Silicon

We are not sure of which MacBook is it going to be but we do have some alleged specifications of the upcoming MacBook. A report from The China Times states that the Macbook will be having a custom GPU, USB-C connectivity, battery life of around 15-20 hours and it would weigh less than 1KG that honestly seems impossible for a ‘Pro’ Macbook.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s (who has a solid track record in Apple) predictions further claimed that Apple will be launching the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models in the second or third quarter of 2021 along with an all-new form factor device with this new custom ARM chip.

Prosser also claims that the much delayed AirPods Studio has been delayed further to next year. According to his tweet, the AirPods Studio will be launching in the next event after the November event which is currently scheduled for March 16, 2021.

Well, November 17 is just a month away so just brace yourself for another fantastic tour of Apple Park in November.
