The processor features 6 cores running at a base clock of 3.6 GHz and a boost of up to 4.1 GHz. It comes with 16 MB of L3 cache and is perfect for pairing with just about any GPU, be it a GeForce GTX 1660 or the beastly RTX 2080 Super. This product is a direct competitor to the Core i5-9400F from Intel and reportedly outperforms it. Just like the other Ryzen 3000 series CPUs, the Ryzen 5 3500 is based on AMD’s 7nm Zen 2 architecture and boasts a major IPC upgrade over Zen+, making them much better suited for gaming.
