AMD’s Radeon RX 5700 lineup is just a few days away from launch, and we’ve started seeing leaked benchmarks of these cards. Most of these results put the Navi cards in the same ballpark as the existing Turing parts, but it’s too early to come to a solid conclusion. However before the third-party reviewers share their thoughts, we’ve got the 3D Mark TimeSpy score to analyze. This score was shared by an anonymous user (now removed), but WCCFTech managed to take a few screenshots before that happened.
According to TimeSpy, the Radeon RX 5700 XT is a tad bit slower than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070. However, I’d say it’s too early to jump to conclusions. After all, the benchmarks we’ve seen till now do clearly indicate that the RX 5700 XT wil be faster than the RTX 2070, though not by much. I’d say this is yet another indication that the Navi GPUs won’t be as fast as AMD had advertised at E3 and Computex.
Like always, we’ll have to wait for the reviewers to do their thing, and then decide who’s in the right.
