AMD launched the Radeon RX 5500 a while back, exclusively via OEMs, meaning you can’t buy the card separately and will only be available in pre-built PCs and laptops. There has been some chatter on the web regarding the existence of a Radeon RX 5500 XT and the 5600 XT, but nothing concrete as of now. Today, we have more info regarding the RX 5500 XT. The Navi 14 card has been spotted on the Eurasian Economic Union Council, further cementing the claim of a purported 5500 XT.

This is a Gigabyte trade manifest with mention of many other cards too, such as the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, the 2080 Super, the GTX 1660 Super as well as the Navi 10 cards. At the end, it lists the Radeon RX 5500 XT (GV-R55XTWF2-8GD) Windforce 2 8GB, pretty much proving that the 5500 XT will come to the DIY market soon enough to challenge the GTX 1650 and maybe even its Super variant.

We’ve already seen some other variants of the RX 5500 XT so it’s safe to say that the card isn’t a mere pipe dream, and we should see it hit the market sometime later this month. NVIDIA recently released the GeForce GTX 1660 Super which offers 1660 Ti level performance for the price of the 1660, thanks to the inclusion of the faster GDDR6 memory instead of 5. Team green is expected to launch the Super version of the GTX 1650 soon, and it’s only fair that AMD comes up with an answer considering the budget market is their turf. We’ll keep you posted.
