AMD Releases New Radeon Drivers For Resident Evil 2

Unlike NVIDIA, AMD doesn’t quite have a reputation of day one driver support for most games. That however, seems to be changing, as Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 2 got day zero driver support from team red.

Radeon Drivers

The optimizations include better overall performance, improved asynchronous compute utilization and FreeSync 2 HDR support. The full list of driver optimizations includes support for:

  • Resident Evil® 2
  • Tropico™ 6
  • Anthem™ Early Access
    • Up to 7% faster performance in Anthem using Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.1.2 on the Radeon™ RX 580 graphics card than with Radeon™ Software Adrenalin Edition 19.1.1 at 1920×1080 (1080p).

With AMD’s Raise the Game Fully Loaded bundle, Radeon gamers get three AAA games bundled as freebies—Resident Evil 2, The Division 2 and Devil May Cry 5— with the purchase of an AMD Radeon VII, RX Vega or RX 590, or an eligible Radeon VII, RX Vega or RX 590-powered PC. You can download the latest AMD driver, from here.
