AMD 300 and 400 Series Motherboards will Support Ryzen 3000 CPUs

Earlier this week, TechPowerUp reported that MSI’s AMD 300 and 400 series motherboards won’t be getting a BIOS update for the upcoming Ryzen 3000 or Zen2 processors. An official MSI support email misinformed the owner of an MSI X370 XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM motherboard that it won’t be receiving any BIOS updates. MSI today reaffirmed their intentions to support AMD 300 and 400 series AM4 motherboards for the upcoming Zen 2 processors.

MSI is currently testing several versions of the 300 and 400 series AM4 motherboards for the upcoming Zen2 processors. Moreover, they have also released a full list of the BIOS versions which include compatibility for the next generation of AMD APUs.

You can find the full list of supported motherboards with their BIOS version here.

The updates are scheduled to be released sometime in May this year, probably right after AMD’s Computex event.
