When it comes to buying a laptop for heavy usage such as video editing, there are very limited options. Unlike Gaming Laptops that have completely saturated the market, Workstation laptops are a rare find. Luckily Asus is here to save the day with their brand new StudioBook S that packs all the power you’d expect from a portable workstation inside a beautiful chassis.

The StudioBook S is powered by an Intel Xeon E-2176M CPU paired with 64GB of DDR4 RAM and a 4TB SSD. Now this alone would suffice a lot of heavy users but what’s more, is that it even comes with an Nvidia Quadro P3200 with 6GB of VRAM.

Possibly the best feature is the design and build quality of machine. At first glance no one can tell how much power it possesses simply because of how thin and Ultrabook-esque it looks. It has an aluminium uni-body with a 17-inch NanoEdge display with edge-to-edge bezels adding to the premium feel. The display itself has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and covers 100% of both sRGB and AdobeRGB spectrum and 97% DCI-P3 which is nothing short of impressive.

The I/O selection is also quite generous for a laptop this slim. You get 1x Thunderbolt 3.0 USB-C with DisplayPort 1.4, 3x USB 3.1, 1x HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack and a built in UHS-II SD Card slot.

The Asus StudioBook S W700 will be launching around Q3 of this year. No info on the prices as of yet.
